Santa Monica Place has announced it will open a new Concierge Lounge on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
The beachside shopping center will offer amenities and guest services that are unmatched to any other shopping venue of its caliber to accommodate the visiting demand from the center’s strong tourism traffic as well as catering to local residents.
On Dec. 23 at 10 am, Santa Monica Place will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially inaugurate the new Concierge Lounge. In celebration of the grand opening, the public is invited to visit the Concierge Lounge during mall hours for refreshments.
Upholding the high-quality standard that Santa Monica Place maintains for its visitors, the Concierge Lounge is a reflection of the center’s best efforts in delivering enhanced guest services that goes beyond expectations.
“The Concierge Lounge is fashioned for our guests to create a memorable experience,” said Shoshana Puccia, senior marketing manager, Santa Monica Place. “Because we have a heavy tourist attraction, we want to ensure their experience at our center was worth making a stop during their visit to Los Angeles – 45 percent of Santa Monica Place visitors are tourists.”
Designed to be a luxurious space for visitors to relax and a place to regenerate, the Concierge Lounge will offer personalized assistance in addition to providing services such as: a storage for shopping bags and luggage; a lounge for tourists and locals to hangout; a sales desk that offers information on tours, theme parks, the theatre and other entertainment activities; free Wi-Fi connection; travel planning to assist with arrangements, transportation and reservations; a retail outlet filled with iconic memorabilia and shopping guides and tips underlining the shopping center’s retailers.
One of the highlights of the Concierge Lounge is the Same Day Delivery Service.
Meeting the evolving demand of today’s sophisticated shopper, this service was integrated into Santa Monica Place’s guest services to provide customers with the convenience and ease of the shopping experience. Shoppers can drop-off their bags at Same Day Delivery or request their purchase(s) to be picked up at a participating retailer’s location to be delivered to their home, office or hotel for a flat fee of $5.
A delivery time will then be selected within a two hour window. Deliveries must be within a 12 mile radius. Scheduled deliveries can also be tracked using state-of-the-art GPS technology.
Capturing the essence of a “true” beachside community, the Concierge Lounge interior décor is laced with the comfort of beach-style furniture (with a cozy seating area), wall and table accessories and is kissed with a soothing tan and ocean blue color scheme.
The Lounge is also accented with surfing memorabilia and iconic Southern California photos and fixtures.
The Concierge Lounge will be located on Level 2 near Bloomingdale’s and will be open during operating hours at Santa Monica Place: Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 9 pm and Sunday, 11 am – 8pm (hours may vary during the holidays).
