Four people were injured, two of them seriously, in a three-car crash in Agoura, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision on Kanan Road, south of Castle View Drive, occurred at 6:50 p.m. Friday, according to a CHP officer. It was about 1.5 miles south of the Ventura (101) Freeway.
According to the accident report, a 2014 Toyota Camry, carrying one passenger, was heading south on Kanan Road when it veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 2004 Lexus driven by Elizabeth Bowlus, 51, of Malibu, the CHP said. Her car was then rear-ended by a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Carolyn Rosenfeld, 33, of Agoura Hills.
The driver of the Toyota, who started the chain-reaction crash, and Rosenfeld suffered minor injuries and were sent to Los Robles Hospital. The Toyota driver’s name was not released.
Meanwhile, a passenger riding in the Toyota and Bowlus, who was driving the Lexus, suffered major injuries and were taken to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, the CHP said. Their current medical conditions were not known.
The crash remained under investigation.
