Celebrate Phase 1 Completion Of Michigan Avenue Neighborhood Greenway Project:

The community is invited to celebrate the new landscape circles at Michigan Avenue

A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the Michigan Avenue Neighborhood Greenway project will be held this Saturday, May 30.

It will take place at 12th Street and Michigan Avenue from 10 am to 11:30 am.

The City of Santa Monica, in cooperation with the Pico Neighborhood Association, is sponsoring a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the Michigan Avenue Neighborhood Greenway project, which includes landscape circles intended to beautify the streetscape and help calm traffic.

The celebration will include a greeting from Mayor Kevin McKeown, music by the Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra’s brass ensemble, and stories from neighbors who represent the rich cultural history of this neighborhood.
