Parents With Alzheimers Or Dementia? Are You Next?:

Baby boomers across the nation are worried about losing their memory.  In fact, it is the number one concern for people over 60. Is this happening to you?

Do you find yourself searching for words or do you forget where you put your keys? Do you come into a room only to forget why you are there?  Are you forgetting the names of your closest friends from time to time?  Even though we shrug it off and say, “I am having a senior moment!!”… it may be more serious than we are willing to admit.

These could be signs that your brain is slowly wasting away.

The number of Alzheimer and dementia cases diagnosed world-wide are reaching epidemic proportions with 30 million diagnosed world-wide, 5.4 million diagnosed in the US with a prediction of 100 million cases world-wide by 2050.

Did you know that Alzheimer’s is the third leading cause of death in the US?

In previous times, once you were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia, there was little that allopathic or holistic medicine could offer to stop the progression of symptoms. Do you remember watching your father or mother’s mental decline? How many times did you have to repeat yourself, how many times did they get lost in the car until someone had to take away their car keys? What was it like to stare into the blank eyes of your mom or dad, knowing they had no clue who you were?

These are frightening symptoms that most of us would do anything to avoid.

What is causing these brain disasters?

In an interview with Kristin Rotblatt L.Ac., who practices in Santa Monica at Lotus East West Medical Center, she explains, “Our brain needs a steady insulin balance to function optimally. But when insulin rises too high, it can start a process where amyloid plaque develops and that plaque will eventually turn your brain cells hard like stone. Insulin surges start the process of brain cell destruction. Baby boomers need to act now because we have been eating foods that are “brain enemies” for 20-25 years and this has allowed our brain to accumulate this damaging plague. And when we start losing mental ground, this is no joke. It is time to do something about it yesterday”.

Are there other causes of brain dysfunction? The brain needs a constant bath of nutrients including the active form of B12, healthy fats, COQ10, the correct anti-oxidants for free radical protection and many more to stay vital and alive.  In addition, the brain needs to be protected from toxins in all forms.  Even though the brain has a blood brain barrier, some toxins including toxic heavy metals and pesticides can permeate and lodge inside the brain tissue causing chronic inflammation.

However, Baby Boomers, there is good news. New studies have revealed that a holistic multi-therapeutic approach is very promising for people with cognition decline. Kristin Rotblatt has put together the Ultimate Brain Health Program. Included are nutrition tips and diets that can nourish the brain and targeted physical exercises and cutting edge supplements that can boost brainpower. Her plan is based on a study where patients with advanced brain decline were able to return to work with within three to six months with no reversal or progression of symptoms 2.5 years after the study.

Kristin ended the interview by saying, “Being a baby boomer myself, my extensive research regarding brain health was born out of concern for my own well being. I have witnessed close friends and family members slowly lose control and dignity as dementia and/or Alzheimer’s stole their brain cells and turned them to mush. There is no way I want my children, Corey and Max, to watch me go down the same dark path.

I am passionate about reaching all my fellow baby boomers and pass on this promising and life saving information.”

Kristin Rotblatt will be lecturing on THE ULTIMATE BRAIN HEALTH PROGRAM at her office on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 pm. Call 310-828-8258 to make a reservation or visit her website for details www.longlifeusa.com.
