Police: Missing Schizophrenic Man, 67, Could Be In Santa Monica:

Manhattan Beach police are seeking public help to find this 67-year-old schizophrenic man who has been missing for nearly a week.

Manhattan Beach police are seeking public help to find a 67-year-old schizophrenic man who has been missing for nearly a week.

Bertram Northrop, a Gardena resident, was last seen about 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Katsu-Ya restaurant in Manhattan Beach, said Manhattan Beach police Sgt. Paul Ford.

Northrop is white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds, with gray hair, and is missing his bottom teeth. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

He could be in Santa Monica, Westwood or Gardena, and anyone who sees him is asked to call Manhattan Beach police, 310.545.4566, or their local police department.
