Police at UCLA today were investigating an attempted strong-arm robbery of a student.
A man in his late 20s approached the victim at 5:55 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Glenrock Avenue and asked for money, police said.
The victim refused and was struck by the suspect, who fled south on Levering Avenue then east on Strathmore Avenue, police said.
The suspect was described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue T-shirt and glasses.
