Blandie’s Gluten-Free Bakery on Main Street has announced a revision of their inventory that will now allow for some baked goods to have flavor and some kind of taste. Blandie’s owner Bob Bisquick said that, while Blandie’s had done strong business during its opening months, over time customers asked about the possibility of gluten-free offerings having actual flavor and introducing a level of enjoyment to their offerings.
“I think it was right around Halloween, when we were selling gluten-free pumpkin cookies with the texture of packing material, that we started thinking a little bit more out-of-the-box “ said Bisquick. “Gluten-free baking is healthful, but there can be issues that result in something of a “Why the hell am I eating this?” reaction and that was hurting our return business.
