Kaiser Permanente Hosts Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for New Santa Monica Medical Offices:

The new medical offices will officially open on May 11.

Attendees included Santa Monica Mayor Tony Vazquez, Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce CEO, Laurel Rosen, as well as representatives from the Santa Monica- Malibu Education Foundation, the City of Santa Monica, Santa Monica College, and local artists whose work appears throughout the medical offices.

Attendees received a tour of the new facility, which features the latest in telehealth – the use of technology to monitor diseases and symptoms – and interactive patient rooms.

The medical offices will provide comprehensive services, including primary care, pediatrics, pharmacy, laboratory, and rotating specialties – such as dermatology, podiatry, and a nurse clinic.The design of the medical offices also lends itself to a more personalized and nurturingapproach to care. Soothing sounds and a green “living wall” welcome patients into the space, and light-filled nurse stations and exam rooms promote patient comfort at every turn.

“Ultimately we wanted to create an entirely new kind of experience for our patients –one that feels more Zen-like and tranquil. It’s not your traditional doctor’s office,” said

Greg Saccone, MD, physician in charge of Kaiser Permanente’s new Santa Monica Medical Offices.

Six of our world-class physicians will be providing care to more than 20,000 members in the neighborhood. Our Santa Monica physicians include Dr. Saccone, internal medicine;

George Mallouk, MD, internal medicine; Victoria Millay, MD, family medicine; Kimberly Petrick, MD, family medicine; Mathias Schar, MD, family medicine; and Karina Maher, MD, pediatrics.
