SMMUSD Meetings Today: Board and Superintendent Search:

The SMMUSD Board of Education will hold a special meeting today as well as an open meeting so the community can have a say on the recruitment of a new superintendent.

BOARD MEETING

The SMMUSD Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday, June 16, at 4 pm in the district office board room (1651 16th Street, Santa Monica).

During this retreat, the Board of Education will meet with staff and Dr. Pedro Noguera to identify and define necessary next steps in implementing the equity plan and creating a process for the Board to monitor and evaluate the plan’s effectiveness.

Prior to the open session at 4 pm, there will be a special closed session from 2 – 4 pm in the board conference room, during which the Board of Education will interview potential interim superintendent candidates.
