Rio: Jordan Wilimovsky Becomes 2nd Fastest American Miler of All Time:

Swimming

Team Santa Monica’s Jordan Wilimovsky finished 4th at his first Olympic Games tonight in Rio, becoming the 2nd fastest American swimmer of all time in the 1500m "mile" event with a time of 14:45.03, over 3 seconds faster than his previous personal best, trailing tonight’s silver medalist, American Connor Jaeger and two Italian swimmers who came away with gold and bronze.

Each of Wilimovsky’s last four swims was a personal best, skyrocketing the young swimmer to the top 5 in the world since 2014 and the top 10 in history for that event.
