Con Gioia Early Music Ensemble, directed by Preethi de Silva, will present, “A Classical Viennese Soirée,” at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 985 Lincoln Blvd., in Santa Monica on Sunday, October 23.
A Classical Viennese Soiree places an emphasis on different types of period instruments including the flute, violin, cello and fortepiano. Featured artists include flautist John Barcellona, violinists Anne Rardin and Lindsey Strand-Polyak, cellist Alexa Pilon, and Preethi de Silva, Con Gioia’s founder and artistic director. The event will offer a variety of music heard in the setting of Viennese social circles
General admission is $30 and $15 for students.
