Motorcyclist Killed on Westbound 10 Freeway

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday in a crash on a central Los Angeles freeway.

The solo-motorcycle crash was reported at 4:51 a.m. on the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway at the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway transition, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.

The motorcyclist, whose age and gender were not immediately reported, crashed into a guard rail, the dispatcher said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The westbound Santa Monica Freeway transition to the Harbor Freeway was closed for the investigation.
