The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the 11th time in 12 days, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.02.
The average price has dropped 3.2 cents over the past 12 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, to its lowest amount since April 5, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago, but two-tenths of a cents higher than one month ago, 20.2 cents more than on Jan. 1 and 16 cents greater than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped for the ninth time in 11 days, decreasing a half-cent Wednesday to $3.006, its lowest amount since April 5.
The Orange County average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, but eight-tenths of a cent s higher than one month ago, 18.9 cents more than on Jan. 1 and 16.5 cents greater than one year ago.
