Lincoln Middle School in Santa Monica will host a ribbon cutting today to celebrate the opening of a $40,000 UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind fitness center funded by the Saint John’s Health Center Foundation.
UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind is a physical education program that brings commercial-grade fitness equipment to middle and high schools, along with a physical education curriculum focused on boosting confidence and making participation more enjoyable.
The Saint John’s Health Center Foundation awarded UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind $120,000 to fund three fitness centers at schools within Providence Saint John’s Health Center’s service area – Lincoln Middle School, John Adams Middle School and St. Monica Catholic School.
