YMCA to Host Healthy Aging Event, Along With Several Others

YMCA will be hosting the Healthy Aging Event on May 31st, 2017 for the May National Arthritis Awareness month. This event is open to community with FREE admission.

They will be offering educational seminars (the information of which is below) free mind body classes, and water exercise.  Picture ID is required for facility usage for all seminars.

The UCLA Health and the Providence St. Jon’s Health Center are collaborating with the YMCA to provide blood pressure check, BMI and important health information.

Wednesday, May 31st — FREE Admission
YMCA Healthy Aging Event
FREE mind body classes, including tai chi, yoga, shallow gentle water exercise, educational seminars, blood pressure check and Diabetes prevention screenings.

Swim cap is required for pool usage. Exercise classes require appropriate attire (Loose fitting clothing and tennis shoes).

Living Well with COPD — UCLA Health Educational Seminar
Corinne Sheth, MD, UCLA pulmonologist, will what causes COPD and what you can do to optimize your health and keep COPD under control.
