Lincoln Boulevard development to include 30 units

By Toi Creel

Plans for a multi-family housing development in downtown Santa Monica may be getting bigger

As reported by UrbanizeLA, an apartment building at 1427 Lincoln Boulevard will now include a new property at 1431 Lincoln Boulevard. This makes the project five stories instead of four with thirty apartments instead of fifteen. The new plans will also feature an underground parking structure with enough room for thirty vehicles.

The Santa Monica Architectural Review Board first received the project in 2019 from a company affiliated with Alhambra-based Jacmar Cos. The building is described as a “modern infill project” with six units set aside for deed-restricted low income housing. The apartments would be a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units designed by William Adams Architects.

The apartment building is just one of several developments in the area. Across the street Santa Monica Developer WS communities is replacing a parking lot with 100 apartments and retail buildings. This joins an an 100-unit project at the corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Colorado Avenue.
