SMPD seeking public’s assistance identifying suspect
Santa Monica police are asking the public for help identifying a man believed to be responsible for at least seven burglaries in the Montana and Wilshire business corridors.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD), the suspect (pictured above) is described as a Black man in his 20s, thin build, short dreadlocks with a thin mustache.
The suspect has been seen wearing a colorful backpack with Bart Simpson graphic print, green camouflage hoodie, black “Puma” long sleeve hoodie, gray pants with black stripes and blue bandana with circular patterns.
“The suspect is targeting businesses, such as restaurants, clothing stores, nail salons, hotels, and medical offices along Wilshire Boulevard, Montana Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard. The suspect enters the businesses through an open rear door and goes to ’employees only’ areas and steals wallets, cell phones and other employees’ property. The suspect is responsible for at least seven burglaries,” the SMPD said.
The Santa Monica Police Department is asking the public’s help to locate and identify this suspect.
