Wilshire and Harvard development to include 9 studio apartments

By Dolores Quintana

Two commercial buildings are being redeveloped into a small new mixed use building at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Harvard Street in Santa Monica.

As reported by Urbanized Los Angeles, the development under construction is being designed by DFH Architects and the property is owned by The Megdal Companies, who applied for the permit which was approved in 2019 by the City of Santa Monica.

The complex will be a two story building that will house 9 studio apartments, one of which will be a low income unit, with 2,495 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and a partially underground parking lot with 18 parking spaces.

According to Urbanize Los Angeles, the exterior of the building will be a charred cedar siding paired with stucco and will have an outdoor deck that overlooks the street.

Renderings for the development show an HSBC bank occupying the first floor corner space.
