6 Electronics To Bring For Your Santa Monica Beach Party

Whether you’re visiting Santa Monica or living here, there’s nothing like having a beach party on one of our many beautiful beaches during the summer. The vistas in Santa Monica are second to none and provide the perfect backdrop for a gathering, large or small. While you likely have a checklist of things you want for your party, you may need a refresher on some electronics that will make all the difference in setting the tone for which you’re going. Let’s take a look at the best electronics to bring for your Santa Monica beach party.

Bring The Music

Nothing sets the mood as quickly as music does. You’ll want to bring your Bluetooth speaker with you to the beach to set the vibe you’re going for. The great thing about Bluetooth speakers is multiple people can connect, so you aren’t married to being the event DJ for the entire party. It’s a good idea to have a playlist or two that you’ve made prior to the get-together, so you’re not wasting time trying to find something to put on – but Bluetooth speakers are at the top of the priority list for making sure your party is a hit.

A Metal Detector

We’ve all seen beach-combers with their metal detectors out plenty of times. Maybe we’ve made a snide remark or perhaps lamented that we didn’t have our own. While there are plenty of games that can be played on the beach, not to mention dancing or a fire pit, sometimes you want to be able to offer your guests more. Packing a metal detector or two can make for a fun activity for your guests, and definitely weren’t expected. Speaking of the unexpected, maybe someone will find buried treasure on Playa del Rey Beach!

A Portable Charger

Let’s face it; we live in an age where when people are enjoying a party, they’re snapping selfies and taking videos. Especially when you’ve got a beautiful backdrop like Will Rogers State Beach or Venice Beach, devices are going to get drained – fast. So, having a portable charging station for your guests to be able to recharge their phones is thoughtful and will be much appreciated. Not to mention, you can keep the tunes going if your Bluetooth speaker starts going low on battery too. If you don’t already have a portable charger at home, your beach party is the perfect time to invest in one.

Remote Controlled Car

If there are going to be young kids at the party or adults who are young at heart, a remote control car is a great idea. Especially if your beach party is going for a super casual vibe, having games and toys on hand for the kiddos is not only smart but will be much appreciated by their parents. You want to make sure you bring a car with big enough wheels so the sand won’t be an issue, so shop around and read reviews until you find one that works well on sandy beaches.

Waterproof Camera

While most partying will be done on the sand beaches, plenty of partygoers will wind up in the Pacific. Make sure you’re prepared to document the fun with a waterproof camera. If you live in Santa Monica, you likely already have a waterproof phone case for those beach days, but having a camera you can take in the ocean is another story, even better if it allows you to capture stunning underwater shots. Take some photos you and your guests will treasure forever with a waterproof camera.

A Kindle

Maybe the beach party you’re heading to is a quiet affair, a party for one or with your family who you may want to avoid for some of the time. Why not pack a Kindle in your beach bag for the moments when you want to get away from the buzz of the gathering and get lost in a good book. It may seem selfish, but anything can happen at a party, and you may need a moment or two of solitude. Luck favors the prepared, so prepare ahead of time with your Kindle.

Beach parties can be all-out epic bashes or intimate, peaceful gatherings. No matter the party’s vibe you’re planning, be prepared with the above-mentioned gadgets to ensure you and your loved ones have a great time. Enjoy!
