Summer Nights Will Sizzle in Santa Monica with Roller Skating Fun for the Whole Family

Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. has opened its first-ever seasonal roller skating rink, Roll @ Santa Monica, bringing a new recreational option to the beachside community. The 4,800-square-foot outdoor rink, managed by Willy Bietak Productions, will be open from August 10 through October 14 at 1324 5th Street.

This summer version of Downtown Santa Monica’s Christmas ice skating rink has excellent potential to extend summer fun into the fall. With colorful skates, lessons from the LA Skate Hunnies, and hip music from the DJ on duty, it’s a great way to enjoy yourself with friends while getting some exercise and fresh air while working on your skating skills. Big Dix Hot Dogs will be there if you need a hot dog experience that’s off the charts to fuel your skate session.

The grand opening celebration, in partnership with LA Skate Hunnies, took place on Saturday, August 10, and the attendees had a great time. The event featured music, skate performances, and other entertainment to mark the start of the skating season. LA Skate Hunnies will also host themed skate nights on the second Wednesday of each month—September 11 and October 9—offering music and style-focused sessions from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
