As of Sunday, January 19, LADWP has approximately 8,000 customers remaining without power as of Sunday morning in the Pacific Palisades and Santa Monica Canyon areas. These customers are located in or adjacent to fire-damaged areas that LADWP crews cannot safely access or in areas where it is unsafe to re-energize power lines.
Allowing power lines to be turned on before it is safe to do so can create a public safety hazard, especially during the critical fire weather warning that starts tomorrow.
Customers with questions about the status of their service can call 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397) and speak to a customer service representative.
LADWP will remain in close coordination with Unified Command and restore power as clearance is received. This same process will continue until all affected power lines are able to be safely restored.
LADWP continues to remain in contact with Unified Command today on which additional power lines will be released from the fire holds. Once the fire holds are released, crews will begin restoration work for customers served by those particular power lines. This same process will continue until all affected lines that are on fire hold for safety review, are cleared for restoration.
