The Santa Monica High baseball season will begin Saturday with the annual alumni game on the campus field at 2 p.m.
Coach Sheldon Philip-Guide has scheduled several activities starting at 10 a.m. including a softball game at 11.
The field has undergone $10,000 in renovations, including new sod. The trees have been cut and the batting cages improved.
The Vikings’ first game will be March 5 at Moorpark.
