Fourth Inning Magic for St. Monica:

The fourth inning is the charm for the St. Monica boy’s baseball team. The Mariners scored the game-winning run against the Cathedral Phantoms in the fourth on May 10, and when they faced the Phantoms again on May 12, they exploded for six runs in the fourth in route to a 7-2 victory. The Mariners finished the regular season at 15-10 and will face Heritage in the first round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs.

The St. Monica Mariners softball team wrapped up their regular season with overpowering offense against Serra Cavaliers on May 12. The Mariners held the Cavaliers to three runs while putting up 12 of their own to close the season with a 16-7 overall record. They will meet the Viewpoint Patriots in the first round of the playoffs on May 20.
