On Sunday, Sept. 11, at 4:24 p.m. officers went to the Rite-Aid store at 1808 Wilshire Boulevard in order to investigate a burglary report.
When they arrived they spoke with the loss prevention agents of the store.
The loss prevention agents told the officers that a man had entered the store, and that he had broken into a locked display cabinet that contained shaving accessories.
This man had then stolen 18 packs of Gillette razor cartridges with a value of $256 before running out of the store and causing the alarm to sound.
The loss prevention officers then chased the man, and as they were doing so they were able to retrieve the stolen blades.
The suspect continued to flee, running southbound on Euclid Street.
The officers then went in search of this man and found him in the 1200 block of Euclid Street. The officers cut to the chase and arrested this 28-year-old homeless man, and he was charged with burglary and a probation violation.
He was not granted bail.
