Man Arrested During Marina del Rey Bank Of America Robbery:

A 25-year-old man was arrested while he was attempting to rob a Bank of America branch in Marina del Rey just after 1 p.m. today.

Christopher John-Mark Bailey, a 25-year old African American man from St. Louis, Missouri, entered the bank at 1:03 p.m. and handed the teller a note.

During a brief conversation between the teller and Bailey, he indicated it was a robbery.

Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Station deputies were notified of a bank robbery in progress and quickly responded and apprehended the suspect.

The suspect was arrested before he obtained any money.

Bailey is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Thursday for filing consideration.

Major Crimes Bureau investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department do not believe the suspect is connected to any other bank robberies.
