Samohi Takes Fifth in Home Tournament: Vikings Defense Holds Windward in Win

Samohi big man Admassu Williams blocks the shot attempt by Windward's Luke Silverman-Lloyd in the Vikings' 65-51 win over the Wildcats on Saturday.

A strong third quarter allowed the Samohi boys’ basketball team to pull away from the Windward Wildcats 65-51 on Saturday.

The win gave the Vikings a fifth-place finish in “The Tournament.”

Jordan Mathews put together another strong showing with 24 points in the win. Both Jordan Walker and Erron Vaughn added 11 points apiece.

Luke Silverman-Lloyd and Jordan Wilson each had 14 points in the losing effort for Windward.

Samohi will play at home against Valencia on Thursday night.
