It was close for a quarter in Friday night’s basketball game.
But once the Etiwanda Eagles made the lead double digits, the Samohi Vikings would never get closer than seven points for the rest of the game.
With his 29 points, Jordan McLaughlin helped put away the Samo boys 89-62. The Vikings ran out of gas and were outscored 30-12 in the fourth quarter.
To help McLaughlin, Sam Flemming added 17 points and Brandon Townes finished with 13 points.
The Eagles held Jordan Mathews to 12 points, and Trevis Jackson followed with 11 points and Jordan Walker added 10 points.
Samohi finishes the season 20-10 with an Ocean League title and a bid to the CIF Quarterfinals.
