Steinberg is the founder of Body Weather Laboratory and an artist-in-residence at the Electric Lodge in Venice. She’s worked world-wide in theatres, site-specific performances, film, video and opera. Fri, 4/29, 8pm: Sherwood Chen. Chen, a San Francisco Foundation Arts & Culture Program Fellow, has performed with Min Tanaka in Japan and works with dance pioneer Anna Halprin. Sat, 4/30, 8pm: Boaz Barkan. Barkan, from Israel, began dancing during his army service. In 1993, he began working with Oguri and has performed with Min Tanaka in Japan. Sun, 5/1, 5pm: Oguri. A native of Japan, Oguri began his career as a dancer with master Tatsumi Hijikata and danced in Min Tanaka’s company Mai-Juku. He now conducts Body Weather Laboratory in Venice, CA.
