Conservancy Taking Back Wilderness…One Trailhead At a Time:

Last Thursday, June 16, retiring Los Angeles City Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski joined Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy officials and residents who labored for years to create and preserve parklands to dedicate the new Westridge Trailhead Park, which is located at the end of Westridge Road in Brentwood above Mandeville Canyon.

The 235-acre park connects to over 49 miles of multi-use trails and more than 20,000 acres of wilderness

On Saturday, July 2, at noon, the Conservancy and the Santa Monica Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority will celebrate the opening of Victory Trailhead at the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve (the former Ahmanson Ranch).Victory Trailhead is located at the western end of Victory Boulevardin West Hills.
