On The Boardwalk: Venice at 100

Idiosyncratic communities are the rule rather than the exception in the L.A. nation.

Not only is Venice among the most idiosyncratic, its boardwalk is the most colorful stretch of sand on the fabled Southern California coast.

It is also the second most popular tourist attraction in Southern California, trailing only Disneyland.
