Rita’s Italian Ice, the nation’s largest Italian Ice concept with more than 600 outlets in 20 states, has opened its newest outlet in Santa Monica at 2307 Main Street.  

The new Rita’s Italian Ice is the fifth outlet open in California for the popular brand and is owned and operated by local residents and franchisees Hannah and Young Ko. The new Rita’s employed 17 “Treat Team” members from the local community.

Rita’s of Santa Monica will celebrate its grand opening by giving Free Ice for a Year to the first 50 guests in line on Friday, Sept. 20.  

The rules are the first 50 guests in line must donate a children’s game to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica and stay in line until doors open at 10 am. There will be a one per household policy and each person must be 13 years of age to be eligible.

All guests who visit the new Rita’s Italian Ice anytime during the grand opening day will receive a free Regular Ice of their choice.

“We are so excited to introduce Rita’s Italian Ice to Santa Monica,” said Hannah Ko, franchisee. “Everyone will find their own favorite Rita’s Cool Treat, like mine, Rita’s Mango Gelati with Light Vanilla Custard. Just one taste and you’ll be a fan for life!”
