Big Blue Bus’ planning team invites the community to hear about service proposals for fall service change that would become effective on Aug. 24, 2014.
A community meeting will be held this Wednesday, June 25 from 6-8 pm.
The meeting will address schedule reliability issues on Route 3; Big Blue Bus is proposing to split the long 90-minute route into two separate routes.
This meeting will explain more about the impacts for approximately one-fifth of Route 3 customers who travel through downtown Santa Monica.
Some customers who currently have a “one-seat” ride on Route 3 will have to make a transfer and pay an additional fare if customers do not have a BBB Pass or a UCLA Flash Pass.
Also proposed are minor schedule modifications to Route 1 to improve schedule reliability, as well as minor changes to other routes.
The meeting will be held at Santa Monica Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd., 2nd Floor Multi-Purpose Room.
Anyone who cannot make it to this meeting, the proposals will be posted at www.BigBlueBus.com prior to the meeting. Feedback can be sent to bus-info@bigbluebus.com.
