Alexander Stars at Edgemar Again: Will appear with Sharon Lawrence

At last year’s fundraiser for the Edgemar Center for the arts, Jason Alexander appeared in a reading of Brecht’s The Irresistible Rise of Arturo Ui. The year before, Steven Speilberg and Kate Capshaw presided at the Center’s ribbon cutting ceremony.

This year’s benefit will be sparked by an evening of comedy, music and dance, with special appearances by Alexander and Sharon Lawrence.

Celebrity guests will include Christie Brinkley, Peirce Brosnan, Kenny G. and Allison Janney. Scheduled for Saturday, October 22, this third red carpet evening will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. The entertainment will begin at 8, followed by a post-show reception.

Tickets are $1,000 for the dinner, show and post-show reception, and $250 for the show and post-show reception, For tickets, call (310) 392-7327. Proceeds will benefit the Center and its programs.

Now in its third year, Edgemar Center for the Arts, located in Edgemar, the Main Street complex that was designed by Frank Gehry, presents theatre productions, jazz and cabaret shows, revolving art exhibitions, film festivals and public arts programs for underprivileged children in this area.

Actress and teacher Michelle Danner is the Executive Artistic Director of the complex.The Edgemar complex is located at 2437 Main Street in Santa Monica.
