The CW Orders Full-Season Runs Of “The Flash,” “Jane The Virgin”:

The CW announced Tuesday it has given full-season orders to both of its new series, “The Flash” and “Jane the Virgin.”

“The Flash” premiere on Oct. 7 drew the largest audience for a premiere in the history of The CW, which was formed in 2006 by the merger of UPN and The WB, while the “Jane the Virgin” premiere on Oct. 13 was the network’s most-watched show in the 9-10 p.m. Monday time slot in two years.

“Over the past three seasons, we have made it our mission to grow and to broaden out our audience, and to keep raising the bar with the quality and impact of our new shows, and ‘The Flash’ and ‘Jane the Virgin’ have both exceeded our expectations on all counts,” said Mark Pedowitz, president, The CW.
