The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was at its lowest amount on Thanksgiving since 2009, dropping seven-tenths of a cent today to $3.104.
The average price has dropped for 57 consecutive days, decreasing 61.1 cents over that span to its lowest amount since Oct. 14, 2010, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 5.1 cents less than one week ago, 31.8 cents lower than one month ago and 49.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price was also at its lowest amount on Thanksgiving since 2009, dropping six-tenths of a cent today to $3.061, its lowest amount since Oct. 9, 2010.
The Orange County average price has decreased 25 consecutive days and 55 of the past 56, dropping 62.2 cents over that span.
The Orange County average price is 4.2 cents less than one week ago, 33.5 cents lower than one month ago and 51.7 cents below what it was one year ago.
