New Online Magazines Now Available At Santa Monica Public Library:

Santa Monica Public Library is excited to announce the launch of Zinio for Libraries, a digital magazine collection. Awarded Best New Database of 2012 by Library Journal, Zinio is the world’s largest eNewsstand, offering easy access to digital versions of popular magazines.

Through http://smpl.org/zinio.aspx Santa Monica Public Library cardholders now have unlimited access to digital magazine issues, which can easily be viewed on most computers, tablets and smartphones inside or outside the library.

Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including color photos and graphics, and interactive elements like audio and video. Better Homes & Gardens, National Geographic, Newsweek and Vogue are just a few of the popular titles available.

“It is a goal to provide the Santa Monica community with expanded access to mobile and digital resources,” said Santa Monica’s City Librarian, Maria Taesil Hudson Carpenter. “With Zinio, we are delighted to offer popular electronic magazines for Library card holders.”
