Celebrate Holidays In Style At Terranea Resort With Special Dining, Extended Stay Promo:

Perched on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Terranea Resort is gearing up for the holiday season with special dining options this Christmas and New Year’s.

Terranea’s signature restaurant mar’sel is offering a three-course chefs tasting menu in addition to its a la carte menu. The special tasting menu from Chef Charles Olalia, is served family-style and features poached oysters, scallop carpaccio, butternut squash veloute and a chicory salad to start, entrées of slow roasted prime rib, turkey scallopini and milk fed poularde, and a traditional buche de Noel and pumpkin pie for dessert.

The special family-style meal is available from 5:30 pm to 10 pm on Dec. 24 and 25, and is offered at $120 per guest.

To celebrate the final evening of 2014, mar’sel will also be offering a special three-course and five-course New Year’s Eve menu.

Crafted by Chef Olalia, the menus will feature dishes like salmon terrine with leeks, black truffle risotto, butternut squash veloute, slow roasted prime rib, caramelized duck breast, poached pear tarts and more. The New Year’s Eve menus at mar’sel will be available Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 5:30 pm to 10 pm and are offered at $120 for the three-course menu, and $180 for the five-course menu.

The Ballroom at Terranea will hold a special Grand Ballroom Buffet on Christmas Day. Available at 9 am, 9:30 am, and 10 am, the buffet includes holiday morning pastries, a hot food selection, an omelet and egg station, a waffle station, a cheese and fruit station, a seafood stand, a salad station, items from the carving board, a holiday dessert display, along with a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

The Grand Ballroom Christmas Buffet is offered at $90 for adults, $45 for children ages 5-10, and is free for children under 5. Reservations can be made at terranea.com/events/12252013-christmas-day-ballroom-buffet-.

Terranea will also hold a countdown to 2015 at Terranea’s annual Club Countdown New Year’s Eve Celebration.

This year’s party includes live music entertainment by a celebrity DJ, an open bar, and a late night buffet from 10 pm to 12:30 am featuring a slider station, pasta station, taco bar, and dim sum station, a dessert station with krispy treats, brownies, mini doughnuts, and more.

Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are available. VIP tables are available, advance reservations are required by calling 310.265.2836. Guests must be 21 years or older.

The party runs from 9 pm to 2 am, with tickets being offered at $150 if purchased before Dec. 26, and $195 if purchased Dec. 26-31.

Between now and March 1, 2015, Terranea is offering an extended stay promotion. Guests booking two nights in a guest room or suite will be offered a complimentary third night, by using the code EXTHOLIDAY when completing their reservation online.
