West Los Angeles Police Standoff Ends Peacefully:

A man who fired shots into the air and barricaded himself overnight inside his West Los Angeles apartment surrendered to police.

The man was taken into custody at 7:17 a.m, said  Los Angeles police officer James Richter of the Media Relations Section.

Police received an “assault with a deadly weapon” call in the 1300 block of Brockton Avenue, where a SWAT team was eventually called to the location and the suspect barricaded himself, Richter said.

“He became a barricaded suspect and then he gave himself up,” the police officer said.
