New Bookstore Seeks Books:

The newest bookstore in Santa Monica is looking for a lot of good books, as well as a lot of book buyers. The new Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library Bookstore at the new Santa Monica Main Library has issued a call for donations of books, both hardcover and paperback, as well as videotapes, CDs and DVDs on an ongoing basis. It also hopes to attract customers on an ongoing Basis. People can drop off donations at the Library check-out counter and will be given donation receipts. People who need help unloading books or other materials will be given assistance.Donations may also be made at the Fairview, Ocean Park and Montana branch libraries. The bookstore is open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1:30-4:30 p.m. The bookstore’s phone number is (310) 395 1591.Friends of the Library is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.Sales receipts will be used to support Library programs.
