Los Angeles Veterans for Peace displayed 2464 crosses representing the US military death toll in Iraq at Arlington West north of Santa Monica Pier, over the Memorial Day weekend. The memorial was set-up on Saturday morning with candlelight vigils on Saturday and Sunday (photo) evenings, and memorial events all weekend. VFP has created this weekly memorial every Sunday since February 2004 when the death toll was just over 500.photo by Margaret Molloy
