In Santa Monica’s latest effort to continue on a “green” road, the City has joined forces with the South Coast Air Quality Management District to become home to Southern California’s 5th hydrogen fueling station.
Located at the Santa Monica Fleet Maintenance Yard, the station will service many of the City’s cars. Internal combustion engines that are fueled with hydrogen are clean burning, and thought to be a good way to combat area pollution.
The four other Southern California cities with hydrogen fueling stations are Burbank, Ontario, Riverside and Santa Ana.
