Facilitated by City of Santa Monica Urban Forester Matthew Wells and spearheaded by the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica, members of nine service clubs will be participating in Arbor Day. The Santa Monica Lions Club, the Santa Monica Breakfast Club, the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club, the Santa Monica Jaycees, the Santa Monica Rotary, Soroptimist International Los Angeles West-Santa Monica Club, the Elks Santa Monica Lodge 906, and the Y’s Men’s & Woman’s Breakfast Club will all be getting a little dirty as they install these newest additions to the city’s urban canopy.

When not planting and funding the purchase of trees for Arbor Day, the members of the Service Clubs in our community are volunteering their time and raising funds for people in need in our community.

This Arbor Day event is sponsored by the Santa Monica Recreation & Parks Commission and will take place at Virginia Avenue Park on Pico at Cloverfield, on Thursday, April 26th from 3:30PM to 5:00PM.
