Arrest made in area of 10th and Arizona this week

Santa Monica police this week arrested three suspects for charges ranging from possession of burglary tools to motor vehicle theft.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD), on Monday around 4:14 p.m. officers on patrol a male suspect standing in a carport peering into the rear window of a parked Honda Civic in the area of 10th Street and Arizona Avenue. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the Honda Civic was stolen. In addition, there was a second suspect inside. The two suspects were found to be in possession of multiple vehicle keys, a 12-inch crowbar and a lock-picking kit.
“Simultaneously, the driver of a white Pontiac with temporary Texas plates seen parked just feet from the incident was found to be working in concert with the other two individuals,” the SMPD said.
According to police, upon searching the vehicle, officers located burglary tools including a Sawzall typically used in catalytic converter theft and a stolen Amazon package.
All three suspects are from Los Angeles. Suspect 1, 33-year-old Antonia Arteaga, was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia. Suspect #2, 30-year-old Bernabe Escobedo-Miranda, was charged with conspiring to commit a crime, receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools. Suspect #3, 32-year-old Daniel Galvan was charged with taking a vehicle without consent, possession of burglary tools and conspiring to commit a crime.
