Venice Home to New Media District:

With the encouragement and help of Councilmember Bill Rosendahl, Venice will be getting its own media district.

The Venice Media District became official when Rosendahl presented a signed proclamation from the Los Angeles City Council proclaiming Venice a “Media District” to representatives of the district.

Said Rosendahl, “This is an exciting opportunity for the Venice community. The Venice Media District will help to promote the diverse array of area businesses and put Venice ’on the map’ as a major player in the entertainment industry.”

The Media District was spearheaded by Robert Feist, owner of Ravenswork Studios, who says the new district will include “everything from hand-crafted work of local artists to digital effects for major motion pictures.”
