Venice Romps to Playoff Victory:

Venice High began the Los Angeles City Championship Bracket football playoffs with a 55-7 rout of Banning on Thursday, November 16.

The Gondoliers were scheduled to play San Pedro on Wednesday, November 22.

Quarterback Richard Ragland passed for 280 yards against Banning. He threw three touchdown passes, including two to Jerry Johnson.

In Invitational Bracket games involving Western League teams, University defeated Franklin, 45-7, and Palisades’ season was ended by Marshall, 42-12.
