We wish for:
- All California residents to gain back the control of their Cities from Sacramento’s draconian power grab by means of the Our Neighborhood Voices Initiative.
- There would be a more resident sensitive and prioritizing composition of the city council. Current residents are taking a backseat to the development community.
- A master-planning and design vision that recognizes and understands long-term density impacts and focuses on preserving our natural environment, which is what our town has always provided as a unique part of the California beach culture.
- The development community will realize that a good design equates to sound economics.
- A logical and well thought out turn-around strategy for our Downtown and Promenade.
- Increased alignment with our library as the core and hub of a digitally informed and connected community.
- Santa Monica to develop our infrastructure with non-profit, community-owned, high-speed fiber-optic broadband for every home, enterprise and community space.
- The noise and movements in our city will again be music to our ears.
- There will be realistic, workable and well managed short- and long-term solutions to the homeless problem without sacrificing the resident’s peace and enjoyment of public spaces.
- For more effort to obtain federal funds to upgrade local infrastructure systems.
- An improved and more efficient use of city resources, including but not limited to Police and Fire Departments personnel, to focus on serving the common good for the mutual benefit of our businesses and residents, first and always.
- We wish for an end to the Pandemic and a return to an even better balanced and brighter world in which we all live together.
