Anthony Pittman faces rape charges in connection to series of sexual assaults
A West Hollywood man has been arrested in connection to a series of sexual assaults targeting homeless victims in Santa Monica and Los Angeles.
On Wednesday, March 14, Anthony Pittman was arrested in West Hollywood for a series of sexual assaults that had taken place between August 28 and September 15, 2022, including in Santa Monica. Pittman was linked to the cases through DNA evidence.
The attacks occurred in the areas of Santa Monica, LAPD Northeast Division and Wilshire Division. All victims were female adults who were experiencing homelessness at the time of the assaults.
On Friday, March 16, The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Airport Office filed charges that included three counts of forcible rape, one count of forcible sodomy, one count of digital penetration and one count of sexual battery against Pittman.
