Tik Tok User Says Son Was Nearly Kidnapped in Santa Monica

The Parents Were Harrassed on Whether They Were the Real Parents or Abusing the Child

By Zach Armstrong

A Tik Tok user, a Black woman with the username “ayooyayo”, posted about a recent incident where her son was nearly kidnapped in Santa Monica after multiple people harassed her and her boyfriend on whether they were the real parents.

According to the Tik Tok user, her boyfriend was questioned by a White couple about whether or not the child was really his son and why he was crying. The Tik Tok user had lost her boyfriend and child moments before and wasn’t present at the scene. The couple threatened to take the child unless proof was shown that he was the real father. After showing a photo of the family, they left.

Moments later, after finding each other, the user says she was waiting for an Uber when a White woman approached asking if she was OK. Then, the woman looked down at the child asking if the mother was abusing him or if she was hurting him, according to the Tik Tok user. Once she pulled the stroller away, the woman reached down attempting to grab the son out of it. The son was buckled in and was not released.

The Tik Tok user says that she called the police who then made a report, although telling her there wasn’t much they could do. The Santa Monica Police Department was not able to immediately respond to inquiry about the incident from Santa Monica Mirror.

The three separate videos made about the incident received considerable attention on the social media platform. By the time of this writing, the first video received nearly two million views while the second received over 242,000 and the third received more than 54,000.
