Activities
Under this item, we decided to collect the most interesting things related to activities:
- Developers have added a new raid, which will be available today, located in the Heart.
- They also added 1 new raid, located in the Heart.
- From the Heart card, you can start story missions on higher difficulty (requires 2005 light points). They will most likely change every week.
The Heart contains special test missions that work according to the following principles:
- There are 6 of them in total. They are located in hidden places where a raven of energy leads you, after which you will have to solve a simple riddle.
- In each, you will have to perform certain mechanics to pass. For example, using the hive sword to knock down an impenetrable shield or destroy crystals to turn off the burning totem.
- The reward is experience for a key NPC, and with a certain chance, you can receive blessings.
- Two enemy factions have been added to Gambit – the Shining Hive and the Cabal Shadow Legion.
- The Siege activity from the Into the Light update has been added to the raid interface, a light version with 10 waves and a normal version with 50.
New opponents
A new faction has been added to the game called The Dread. It contains only 4 types of opponents:
- Husk is a melee fighter. After death, it releases a lot of energy that rapidly flies toward the character; if it is not destroyed, it explodes and causes damage. If the enemy is killed through a finishing move, the clot does not fly out.
- Grim is a flying ranged fighter. If you get close enough, it will emit a roar (in a cone), causing a suppression effect.
- Omen is a ranged fighter that uses stasis. Can throw a grenade at you, creating a dome of stasis.
- Attendant is a ranged fighter that uses stasis. Able to create crystals near you, which the adjutant then explodes, causing great damage.
- Harbringer is a ranged fighter that uses thread. Can throw energy at you, which then shoots the character like a slingshot.
- Weaver is a ranged fighter who uses thread. Capable of launching three arcs from a thread; if at least one hits you, the character will be suspended in the air for a short period of time.
Prism
A new unique subclass has been added to the game called Prismatic. It opens during the first mission of the expansion, and blurs the line between light and darkness, allowing you to simultaneously use their abilities, ultimates, and aspects. Let’s look at the key features:
- The set of abilities, ultimates, and aspects are pre-determined by the developers.
- The effects of some aspects and fragments have been updated to match the prism.
- Initially, only some abilities, aspects, fragments, and variations of the ultimate are available to you.
- As you progress through the expansion’s story, you’ll unlock some of the items mentioned above through special chests.
- After completing the story, you will unlock the remaining abilities, aspects, and variations of the ultimate after completing the already-mentioned quests.
- To unlock all fragments you need to find hidden special chests. Some of them can only be found in story quests, while others can be found in the Pale Heart.
New Ultimate
One new ultimate was added to each class. They open after completing the fifth story mission:
- Storm’s Edge is the hunter’s electric ultimate. After pressing the button, the character throws a dagger in the indicated direction, then teleports and performs an AOE strike around himself. All this can be repeated two more times.
- Twilight Arsenal is the void ultimate titan. After pressing the button, the character throws several axes towards the pointer, causing damage with each hit. After this, the axes can be picked up and used as weapons (light attack and throw).
- Song of Flame is the solar ultimate warlock, which has several effects at once:
- Once activated, you and nearby allies regain ability energy faster and gain increased resistance to incoming damage. Your kinetic and solar weapons also apply Burn to the target.
- The melee ability becomes charged and fires additional projectiles.
- The grenade transforms into a homing flame, causing a searing explosion upon detonation.
Transcendence
Transcendence is a new mechanic that works according to the following principle:
- Another strip appears in the prism under the ultimate strip.
- Initially, it is divided into two segments. The left one is filled when damage is caused by the elements of light, the right one is filled with elements of darkness. After filling, they combine into one, pinkish color.
- After this, by pressing the B button, you enter the state of transcendence and receive the following effects:
- Increases the recovery rate of grenade energy and melee abilities.
- When using a grenade, you gain melee energy and vice versa.
- In the prism, the grenade is replaced with a special version, each class has its own.
In addition to the above, the mechanics will also have to be used in order to remove the new invulnerable state from opponents. The HP of targets with a similar effect is colored in the color of the transcendence strip. It is worth noting that in some cases, when you need this effect, wells of light appear on the map, allowing you to quickly accumulate transcendental energy. By standing in the well, you can gain energy even in regular classes.
