Venice Expects To Forfeit 2006 Games:

The Venice High football team, one of the favorites to win the LA City championship this season, expects to forfeit several of its 2006 victories for using an ineligible player.

Awaiting an LA City rules committee meeting this week, Venice Coach Angelo Gasca seemed resigned to the fact penalties would be handed out.

Although the player’s name was not revealed, it is known he was a senior and isn’t back this season and he played in nine games after arriving at Venice as a transfer.
